Treatment details: Wart and Spot Removal (Décolletage)
The décolletage is a difficult area to treat because the skin is thin, sun exposure is chronic, and healing is slower than on the face. Each lesion was removed individually rather than treating the whole area, which limits the risk of pigment change in the surrounding skin. The one month photograph shows the treated points healed, with the residual pink continuing to fade over several months. Sun protection on the treated area matters more than any topical product afterwards, since ultraviolet exposure during healing is what causes post inflammatory pigmentation to persist rather than fade.
Each treated lesion leaves a shallow raw spot that is covered with protective tape until it closes, usually within one to two weeks, followed by pink skin that fades over several months. Darkening after healing is common on the chest and can take longer to settle here than on the face, so sun protection matters. A shallow dip, a pale mark, or a thickened scar may remain. Deeper lesions can recur and need repeat treatment.
