Treatment details: Tattoo Removal (Left Wrist)

Only two sessions in, so the fading visible here is what we would expect at this point rather than a finished result. The wrist has thin skin and sits directly over bone, so treatment is felt more sharply than on the trunk and the settings are chosen with that in mind. Pico pulses shatter the pigment into fragments small enough for the body to clear, which is why ink lightens gradually between visits instead of disappearing during the session itself. Blistering and scabbing in the first week are part of the normal response. Several more passes will be needed, spaced to let the skin recover.

Risks & Side Effects

The wrist has thin skin over bone, so treatment there is more painful than on fleshy areas and swelling can extend into the hand for a day or two. Blistering and crusting are common and must be left alone while they heal. Ink at the end of a limb is cleared slowly by the body, so the number of sessions is often higher and traces of the outline can persist. Lightening or darkening of the treated skin and, rarely, a change in texture may follow.
