Treatment details: Tattoo Removal (Central Chest)
Six sessions have been completed on this piece. The chest clears ink more slowly than the limbs, and dense black work over a large surface asks for patience rather than higher energy, since pushing the fluence risks texture change in skin that is thinner than patients expect. Spacing the sessions gives the lymphatic system time to carry away fragmented pigment between visits. The image shows the state after the sixth pass. Residual ghosting is normal at this stage and continues to fade in the interval before the next session. Sun protection over the treated area is required throughout the course.
Skin over the breastbone heals slowly and is one of the areas most likely to thicken or form a raised scar, so aftercare instructions matter. Each session leaves stinging, redness and swelling for a day or two, with blisters or crusts that take about a week to clear. Color can lighten or darken in the treated skin. Even after six sessions a shadow of the design can remain, and further treatments spaced two months apart may be planned. Sun exposure is avoided.
