Two adjacent structures were treated with different materials. The aegyo sal, the small ridge directly beneath the lash line, was defined with NEAUVIA, while Baby Collagen was placed lower to address the hollow underneath. These are opposite goals within a narrow space: one adds a ridge, the other fills a depression, and using a single product for both would blur the boundary between them. This photograph is nine months after treatment. At that interval much of the initial material has been absorbed, and what remains reflects both the residual product and the change in skin quality from the collagen component.

The lower eyelid holds fluid easily, so swelling here can last one to two weeks, longer than in most areas, and bruising through the thin skin is common. Gel sitting too close to the surface may show as a bluish shade, the Tyndall effect, or as a visible ridge, and lumps or a puffy look can appear months later. Correction with hyaluronidase is possible when needed. Rarely, injection into a vessel around the eye causes serious problems, so any pain or change in sight is treated urgently.

Collagen placed under the eye is injected through several points, each of which can bruise; discoloration here often takes ten days or more to clear. Mild swelling and small palpable bumps are usual in the first week. Because the product is collagen rather than hyaluronic acid, hyaluronidase will not remove it if the result is uneven. The effect on skin texture builds slowly and holds for roughly three to six months, so repeat sessions are part of the plan. Infection is rare.
