Treatment details: Botox Injection (Forehead: Coretox)
Horizontal forehead lines were the only concern, so treatment was limited to that area rather than extending across the upper face. Coretox was used here. When the forehead is treated in isolation, dosing needs care, since relaxing the frontalis too much muscle without any compensating adjustment can allow the brow to drop, particularly in patients who rely on that muscle to hold the brow position. Units were placed to soften the lines while preserving lift. At two weeks the effect has reached its peak, which is the standard point for assessment and for any adjustment. The result lasts roughly three to four months.
Forehead lines soften from around the third day, with the full effect at two weeks. Small bruises or a raised bump at each injection point disappear quickly. Because this muscle holds the brow up, relaxing it can leave the brow feeling heavy or sitting slightly lower, which is more noticeable when the upper lid is already loose and resolves as movement returns. Headache is occasionally reported. The result lasts roughly three to six months before repeat treatment is considered.
