Treatment details: Baby Collagen (Under Eyes)
The under eye responds poorly to conventional hyaluronic acid: the skin is thin enough that a gel placed too superficially scatters light and reads as a bluish shadow. Baby Collagen behaves differently, integrating into the dermis and acting on tissue quality rather than simply occupying space, so it can be placed where a filler would be risky. A blunt microcannula was used through a single entry point, which limits bruising in an area where bruising is otherwise routine. This image is from immediately after treatment. Mild swelling at the injection points lasts a day or two, and the change in skin quality builds over the following weeks.
Several fine punctures are made through the lower lid skin, and at least one of them usually bruises; the mark can be visible for one to two weeks. Slight puffiness and small firm points are noticed in the first days as the collagen spreads. Placement close to the surface risks a pale or Tyndall type shade showing through. Since hyaluronidase acts only on hyaluronic acid, collagen has to be left to absorb. Improvement is gradual and lasts three to six months.
