Treatment details: Baby Collagen (Under Eyes)
The volume used under the eye was kept to a single cc. Overfilling the tear trough is more noticeable than the hollow it was meant to correct, and it is difficult to reverse because this material cannot be dissolved. A conservative amount placed deep gives a rested appearance without drawing attention to the area. What is shown is immediately after treatment. The tear trough is also one of the slower areas to settle, so the appearance at two to four weeks is a better guide to the result than anything seen in the first few days.
Pain during injection is brief, but the lower lid commonly bruises and stays swollen for about a week, occasionally two. Lumps, an uneven edge, or a Tyndall like blue tone can appear where the material lies close to the surface of the thin skin. Slight asymmetry is common while the area settles. Infection and inflammatory reactions are rare. The effect is temporary because the material is broken down naturally, and treatment is repeated to keep the result.
