Treatment details: Baby Collagen (Under Eyes)
Under eye hollowing casts a shadow that reads as a dark circle regardless of skin tone, and no topical product corrects a shadow with a structural cause. Baby Collagen was placed against the bone through a cannula from a single entry point, which limits bruising in an area that bruises easily. The brightening is visible on the day, and the skin quality continues to improve as the collagen response develops. Because this material is not hyaluronic acid it cannot be dissolved if too much is placed, which is the argument for a conservative volume and a review appointment rather than filling to the desired endpoint in a single visit.
Tiny injections along the hollow beneath the eye bruise easily, and the area can look puffier during the first week before settling across two weeks. Firm spots or a fine ridge may be felt as the material integrates, and superficial placement can show a Tyndall type bluish shade through the thin skin. Small differences between the two eyes are usual. Infection is uncommon, and blockage of a small vessel by the injected material is rarer still, so sudden pain, blanching of the skin, or any change in vision must be reported the same day. The volume is absorbed over several months, so the change is temporary.
