Treatment details: AdvaTx Laser (Full Face, Dual Wavelength)
Dual wavelength treatment across the whole face was chosen so that vascular and pigmented components could be handled in the same visit. Settings were adjusted for this patient’s skin rather than applied at a standard level, since fluence that suits one skin type can cause pigmentation in another. The photograph is two months after treatment. Improvement with this device is gradual and cumulative, and a single session shows a change in tone rather than complete clearance. Between sessions patients are asked to keep the face protected from sun, as new pigment formed during the interval undoes progress made in the clinic.
Expect a flushed appearance and a mild sunburn feeling for several hours after the session, with light swelling that can last a day. Treated vessels may look darker before fading, and freckles or spots often lift as fine flakes within a week. Pigment change follows inflammation in some skin types, so sunscreen is required. Blistering, prolonged redness, and scarring are rare. A planned series is typical and the degree of clearing varies.
