In male patients the jawline carries much of the impression of the face. Here the border between the jaw and the neck had blurred, and the profile lost its angle.

We removed fat under the chin with VASER liposuction, tightened the deep layer with EmbraceRF, and treated the cheek and jaw surface with Morpheus8.

The profile now shows a defined angle between the chin and the neck. The lower face looks firmer without any change to the features themselves.

Men generally have thicker skin and denser fat under the chin than women, so we set the energy higher and pass the cannula more times. Recovery is otherwise the same, and most patients are back at work within a week.

Swelling and bruising under the chin last one to two weeks.

Firmness in the treated area continues for one to three months.

Temporary numbness or a pulling sensation may occur.

Irregularity or asymmetry of the contour can occur and may need touch-up treatment.

Burns, blistering, or pigment change from radiofrequency are rare.

Beard growth is not affected, though shaving may be uncomfortable for a few days.

Infection is uncommon.
