HI! Sara writing.

For few days we talked about dieting, wellness, today I’m going to introduce few treatments that are particulary poplar at our clinic.

The summer is over, and as every year I’m personally experiencing some skin troubles with the unstable weather conditions and the upcoming cold temperatues and wind.

I don’t know about you but my skin seems a bit dehydrated, which is weakening the skin barrier and slowing down the skin’s natural exfoliation process. My main consern now is in fact pore issue…

Antioxidants are molecules capable of donating an electron to a free radical without themselves becoming free radicals, but this action also inactivates them. Without enough antioxidants, your skin is more prone to oxidative damage (free radicals). Some of the common sources are UV radiation and pollution. No antioxidants mean your skin can’t prevent squalene (a component of sebum) from oxidizing, and this clogs your pores at the end of the summer!

There are many treatments available for pore issues. At BIANCA, we assess the type of pores and skin condition before recommending various treatments. Besides optimizing daily skincare routines, we can prescribe oral medications if necessary. We also frequently offer device-based treatments like lasers and Potenza.

Currently, my top recommendation for pore treatment is Juvelook.

What is Juvelook?

Juvelook is a skin-rejuvenating booster based on PDLLA (poly-DL-lactic acid). It’s an injectable treatment that combines with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and is injected into the dermal layer. This promotes collagen production, lifts the skin from within, and helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, wrinkles, and acne scars, making it an effective skin-rejuvenating solution. Juvelook is particularly beneficial not only for improving skin depressions but also for treating redness, which is often challenging to address with laser treatments.

The main component, PDLLA, is also used in dissolvable thread lifts and surgical sutures, and it gradually absorbs into the body over one to two years, offering relatively long-lasting results. Juvelook has received approval from both the U.S. FDA and the Korean KFDA, making it a reliable and safe injectable treatment.

Juvelook has become immensely popular in South Korea, particularly for its effectiveness in reducing enlarged pores, and it is now available at our clinic.

Characteristics of Juvelook

  • Low Risk of Side Effects and Allergic Reactions: Juvelook is designed to minimize the likelihood of side effects and allergies.
  • Long-lasting Effects: The results from Juvelook treatments are durable, reducing the need for frequent sessions.
  • Localized Injection: It allows for precise, localized injections, targeting specific areas of concern.
  • Reduced Inflammation and Foreign Body Reactions: Due to its formulation, it is less likely to cause inflammation or foreign body reactions commonly associated with other acids.
  • Ideal Collagen Booster: Juvelook has an optimal molecular structure and properties that make it an excellent collagen booster.

Juvelook Treatment Method

Juvelook is administered via localized injections by a physician, either in targeted areas or across the entire face. The active ingredient, poly-DL-lactic acid (PDLLA), is injected directly into the desired area, stimulating fibroblasts and promoting collagen production. The PDLLA in Juvelook is formulated with a spherical molecular structure, which reduces overstimulation of surrounding cells and lowers the risk of inflammation, side effects, and nodule formation.

Treatment Schedule

It is recommended to undergo Juvelook treatment once a month for three sessions, followed by maintenance sessions every six months to a year.

Juvelook is currently in our October special campaign, so don’t forget to make your appointment at Bianca Clinic 🙂
