RADIESSE downtime is typically minimal, and RADIESSE recovery time varies by individual:

・Bruising: Resolves naturally within about 1–2 weeks

・Treatment time: About 30 minutes
・Redness: Resolves naturally within about 3 days to 1 week

Características
As a RADIESSE dermal filler, it supports volume correction and contouring, filling in wrinkles and hollows. But RADIESSE as a biostimulator does more than that — it's also thought to work as a RADIESSE collagen stimulator, supporting your skin's own production of collagen and elastin.
The mechanism: CaHA is believed to stimulate fibroblasts, which in turn support the production of collagen, elastin, and other components of the extracellular matrix (ECM)*. Over time, that can translate into visible RADIESSE results — changes in skin quality that build gradually.
How much, and for how long, depends on the treatment area, injection method, and amount used. Results vary by individual.
*Biostimulator: a general term for treatments or formulas that support the skin's own production of collagen and other components to help improve firmness and elasticity.
*ECM (extracellular matrix): made up of collagen, elastin, and other components that support the structure of tissue surrounding cells.
It's not just for the face, either. RADIESSE neck treatment, along with the décolletage and backs of the hands — the areas that tend to show age first — follows the same approach.
Because it supports your skin's own collagen and elastin production, the treatment aims to achieve a naturally youthful appearance.

Is there discomfort or downtime with this treatment?
To help minimize discomfort, your physician uses either a needle or a blunt-tipped microcannula, chosen for the injection site and treatment goal.
If you’re concerned about discomfort, anesthesia is available — just ask.
Downtime may involve mild swelling and redness, and occasionally slight bruising, but these are generally mild enough to cover with makeup.
What is the hyperdilute method?
RADIESSE is diluted — typically with saline — before injection.
Rather than adding volume, the main goal is supporting skin quality through CaHA’s effect on collagen and elastin production. Diluted and hyperdilute CaHA treatments have also been reported internationally for use on the face, neck, and décolletage.
Is the hyperdilute method also used for the jawline or nose?
Generally, no. For contouring the jawline or nose, or filling in wrinkles and hollows like nasolabial folds and cheek volume loss, undiluted RADIESSE is the standard choice.
The hyperdilute method is reserved for skin-quality goals.
Is RADIESSE under eyes or RADIESSE lip filler treatment available at BIANCA CLINIC?
No. Because the skin under the eyes and on the lips is thin and delicate, injecting RADIESSE there carries a higher risk of nodules or irregularities — so BIANCA CLINIC doesn’t perform RADIESSE treatment in these areas.
What's the difference between RADIESSE and hyaluronic acid filler?
Hyaluronic acid filler has a soft texture and is used mainly for volume correction and contouring.
RADIESSE, by contrast, has a thicker, slightly firmer texture — and beyond volume correction and contouring, it’s known for supporting firmer skin from within.
Can RADIESSE be used on the body as well as the face?
Yes. At BIANCA CLINIC, RADIESSE is also used on the neck, décolletage, and backs of the hands.

Are there RADIESSE risks like RADIESSE lumps or RADIESSE nodules after treatment?
Reducing the risk of RADIESSE nodules comes down to injecting into the right layer, in the right amount.
At BIANCA CLINIC, injection site, layer, and volume are all carefully determined based on anatomy, with this risk in mind throughout treatment.
Can the treated area turn into bone?
CaHA, RADIESSE’s main component, is also found naturally in bone — but the treatment isn’t designed to turn the injected material into bone.

Will it show up on X-rays or CT scans?
Yes. CaHA, RADIESSE’s main component, can appear as a white area on X-rays or CT scans. If you’re having one of these scans, let your doctor or dentist know beforehand that you’ve had RADIESSE treatment.

In rare cases, serious complications such as vascular occlusion and associated skin damage or necrosis, or visual impairment, may occur.

There is no approved pharmaceutical in Japan with the same ingredients or performance as RADIESSE®.
・Correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds)
・Improvement of volume loss on the backs of the hands (hand augmentation)
・Correction of décolletage wrinkles in patients aged 22 and older (using a 1:2 saline dilution protocol)
