Upper arms are a frequent request and an area where technique matters more than the volume removed. Fat here sits over skin with limited capacity to retract, particularly on the posterior surface, so taking too much can trade a heavy arm for a loose one. VASER emulsifies before suction, and the thermal component contributes some tightening, which is part of why it suits this region. Treatment was carried through toward the elbow to avoid a visible transition at the lower arm. This image is at one month. Swelling and firmness are still resolving at this stage and the contour continues to improve for several months.

Swelling, bruising, patchy numbness, and soreness similar to heavy exercise are expected in the arms for one to several weeks, and firmness under the skin can persist for two to three months. The final contour appears gradually and may be uneven, asymmetric, or accompanied by loose skin where elasticity is limited. Seroma, infection, burns from the ultrasound probe, and prolonged induration are uncommon. Compression sleeves are worn as instructed. Fat embolism and deep vein thrombosis occur rarely and are guarded against with early walking.
