Profhilo was applied to the face and neck as a skin quality treatment rather than a volumising one. The material contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid that spreads through the tissue instead of holding a defined shape, so it hydrates and stimulates rather than filling a line. Five injection points per side are used, which limits the number of punctures in the neck where bruising is more visible. This image is one month after the session. The effect builds over four to six weeks and typically requires a second session at one month to complete the initial course.

Profhilo is placed as five deposits on each side, and these leave raised blebs that stay visible for several hours and occasionally into the next day. Bruising is more likely on the neck, where the skin is mobile and thin. Redness, tenderness and itching settle quickly. Firm nodules at a deposit are uncommon. Two sessions about a month apart are standard, hydration and firmness change gradually, the degree varies between individuals, and maintenance is needed roughly twice a year.
