The sequence matters more than the individual devices. Fat under the chin was removed first, because until the volume is gone there is no way to judge how much the skin will need to contract. Radiofrequency was then delivered beneath the skin of the face, and Morpheus8 was passed over the submental area to remodel it from the surface. Working from the deep layer outward in one sitting means the skin retracts onto the new contour while it is still healing, which is when it responds best. The photograph here is at one month. Firmness through the jaw and upper neck is still present at this stage and continues to soften, while the tightening itself keeps developing until around the third month.

Radiofrequency delivered beneath the skin leaves the face firm and swollen for one to two weeks, with bruising at the entry points and patches of altered sensation that can take one to three months to normalise. Cords or small nodules are sometimes felt while healing and usually soften.

Under the chin, fat removal brings swelling, bruising, and numbness that peak in the first week, and a support garment is worn as instructed. Contour irregularity or firm areas may be present for two to three months, and skin with poor elasticity may not redrape completely.

Burns, pigment change, small entry point scars, seroma, and infection are uncommon. Asymmetry occasionally needs a second procedure.
