Two different materials were selected for two different problems in the same session. Baby Collagen was placed under the eyes, where its collagen content improves the quality of thin skin and where it is less likely than hyaluronic acid to cast a bluish tone through the tissue. NEAUVIA INTENSE, a considerably firmer material, was used along the jawline where definition depends on structural support holding its shape against soft tissue weight. A microcannula reduced bruising in the area under the eyes. This photograph was taken immediately afterwards, so some swelling is present and will settle over the following days.

Delivered in tiny amounts beneath the lower lid, the material commonly leaves pinpoint bruises that last about a week and can be covered with makeup after a day. Mild swelling, tenderness, or small palpable points are usual early on and then settle. A difference between the two sides may be evened out at a later visit. The effect is temporary because the product breaks down over months. Infection and lasting nodules are uncommon in this area.

Hyaluronic acid along the jawline is placed firmly against bone, so tenderness, swelling, and occasional bruising last a few days, and chewing may feel odd at first. The gel is often palpable as a firm border for two to four weeks, and superficial placement can show as a bluish line through the skin, known as the Tyndall effect. Asymmetry is adjusted once settled. Vascular occlusion with skin change is rare and treated urgently with hyaluronidase.
