  • Anesthesia & Treatment

An anesthesia method suited to the patient will be selected (topical cream, local anesthesia, relaxation sedation, nitrous oxide, nerve block, or intravenous sedation) to minimize discomfort during Morpheus8 burst treatment. Microneedles are then inserted into the treatment area, and RF energy is emitted via the needle points. The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes depending on the treatment scope. Cooling is applied after the procedure.

FAQ

Q What is the difference between Morpheus8 burst and Potenza?
A

Both Morpheus8 burst and Potenza are microneedle treatments that deliver RF energy from the needle tips. The main difference lies in their built-in features. Morpheus8 burst is a device that inserts microneedles and delivers RF energy.
Potenza, on the other hand, also features a drug delivery function that allows simultaneous infusion of medication. The most suitable device depends on your skin condition, so please consult with your physician for personalized advice.

Q What is the difference between Morpheus8 burst and HIFU?
A

The main difference between Morpheus8 burst and HIFU lies in how thermal energy spreads through subcutaneous tissue.
The subcutaneous layer is a key area for achieving tightening effects, and Morpheus8 burst is able to treat a broader area within this layer.

Q Is Morpheus8 burst treatment painful?
A

The level of pain varies depending on the depth of needle insertion. While individual experiences differ, insertion into shallower layers tends to cause less discomfort, while deeper insertion may be more painful.
Although pain during Morpheus8 burst is sometimes discussed in patient reviews, our clinic offers several types of anesthesia to accommodate patients who are sensitive to pain. We will recommend the most appropriate option based on your comfort level.

Q When will I start to see results from Morpheus8 burst?
A

The effects of Morpheus8 burst typically become more noticeable about one month after treatment. Some patients may see results after the first session, but as a general guideline, undergoing 3–4 treatments at monthly intervals tends to produce more pronounced lifting effects.

Q Can Morpheus8 burst be combined with laser treatments?
A

Morpheus8 burst can be combined with laser treatments as long as the treatment areas do not overlap. However, treating the same area simultaneously is not recommended.

Q How long is the downtime for Morpheus8 burst?
A

While individual experiences vary, the typical downtime for Morpheus8 burst is approximately one week. Localized redness, swelling, and tactile roughness are typical reactions at the points of needle entry. Rubbing the treated area may prolong redness or cause pigmentation.
Adequate moisturizing will help the downtime symptoms gradually subside. Please follow your physician's aftercare instructions.

Q How many sessions of Morpheus8 burst are recommended?
A

We recommend 3–4 sessions of Morpheus8 burst at monthly intervals, with progress assessed between sessions.
While patients often notice changes after the first treatment due to its powerful tightening effect, multiple sessions help achieve the desired outcome more effectively. Results typically last several years, though individual experiences may vary.

Q Are there treatments that pair well with Morpheus8 burst?
A

Thread lifts and liposuction are treatments that complement Morpheus8 burst well. For example, for under-chin laxity, a thread lift or liposuction can first refine the jawline, after which Morpheus8 burst can smooth the skin texture—resulting in a more satisfying overall outcome.
Our clinic provides personalized treatment recommendations for each patient, so please feel free to consult with us.

Q When can I bathe, wash my face, and wear makeup?
A

Home skincare may be resumed the day after Morpheus8 burst treatment. Makeup may be applied 48 hours after the procedure.
