The Ergonomix2 shell moves with the patient rather than holding a fixed round shape, which suits a patient who does not want the augmentation to be conspicuous when lying down or in motion. A 270 cc volume was matched to the measurements taken at consultation. The one week photograph is taken while the implant is still high and firm, which is normal at this stage. At one week the patient is still in a supportive garment and the breasts sit high on the chest. Judging shape at this stage is misleading, since the implant usually takes two to three months to reach its final position.

Pain across the chest is strongest in the first three days and eases over one to two weeks, with swelling and bruising following a similar course, while the shape settles over several months. Possible problems include bleeding or a collection of blood requiring drainage, infection that can force removal of the implant, capsular contracture, visible rippling, movement or rotation of the implant, rupture, and lasting change in nipple sensation. Scars remain. Any facility performing breast imaging is told that implants are present.
