Treatment details: Pico Spot (Full Face)
Pigmented spots were distributed widely enough across the face that treating them individually would have been impractical, so an unlimited plan covering the whole face was chosen. Pico laser delivers energy in extremely short pulses, which breaks pigment apart with less heat transfer to surrounding skin than older laser systems. Treated spots typically darken and form a fine crust before flaking away over one to two weeks. At one month that process has completed and the skin tone reads more evenly. Pigmentation that follows inflammation is the main concern afterwards, particularly without daily sun protection, so we ask patients to be consistent with sunscreen for several months.
Each treated spot stings briefly and turns gray or white, then reddens and may swell slightly for a few hours. Over the following days the spot darkens and forms a fine crust that lifts within one to two weeks, leaving pink skin that gradually blends in. Darkening after inflammation can appear, especially in skin that tans easily or when sun protection is neglected. Blisters and changes in texture are rare. Repeat sessions are usually required, and response varies.
