The nose tip was the technical centre of this plan. It is an area that takes little volume but carries serious consequences, so INTENSE was placed in small increments deep to the skin, while the lips and nasolabial folds were addressed with FLUX, which moves more naturally in mobile tissue. Chin projection was built last, once the profile could be judged as a whole. Building in stages lets each placement inform the next rather than committing to volumes in advance. The photograph is immediately after treatment. Swelling around the lips is most noticeable in the first 48 hours, and patients are asked to avoid pressure on the nose while the gel settles.
Lips swell noticeably for two to three days and cold sores can be reactivated in anyone who carries the virus. Bruising, tenderness and small lumps that soften over weeks are common at every site, and the nasolabial and chin corrections can settle unevenly. The nose tip has a limited blood supply, so vascular occlusion there, although rare, can lead to skin necrosis and has been reported alongside vision loss. Severe pain, pale skin or blurred vision requires immediate hyaluronidase. Filler is absorbed within about a year.
