Doctor's Comments

Treatment details: AdvaTx Laser (Full Face, Dual Wavelength)

Both wavelengths were used across the full face because this patient presented with redness and pigmentation together. One wavelength targets haemoglobin in dilated vessels while the other addresses melanin, so treating with a single wavelength would have improved one concern and left the other. The face was covered in a single pass rather than spot treated, which keeps the overall tone even instead of creating patches of improvement. This photograph is three months after treatment, allowing several weeks for the vascular response to complete. Redness continues to settle gradually during this period, and daily sun protection is necessary to hold the result.

Risks & Side Effects

Warmth, flushing, and slight puffiness of the face typically last a few hours and occasionally into the next day. Vessels treated at the longer wavelength may darken or look purplish before clearing over one to two weeks, and pigmented marks turn darker and shed. Darkening of the treated skin can follow the inflammatory response, especially with sun exposure or in deeper skin tones. Crusting, blistering, and lasting texture change are rare. Several sessions at intervals are usually planned, and responses differ.
