What is Humallagen
Humallagen is a treatment method that aims to improve wrinkles and dark circles by injecting human placenta-derived collagen. Recent research has revealed that there are several types of collagen, but the types that constitute skin are Type I and Type III collagen. Humallagen uses a formulation that combines these two types in a 1:1 ratio.
Type I works to maintain skin moisture and elasticity and is the most common type of collagen found in the body. Type III has self-repairing functions and provides firmness by enhancing the skin tissue's generation and regeneration ability. It is abundant in baby skin and is therefore also called humallagen. The reason why baby skin has plump volume and elasticity is due to the large amount of Type III collagen it contains.
However, Type III collagen gradually decreases with age. The doctor uses a microcannula to inject humallagen in small amounts into your desired treatment areas. Treatment time varies depending on the treatment area and range, but takes about 10 minutes as a guide (not including anesthesia time). The treatment is complete after confirming hemostasis of the treated area.

Also, as humallagen treatment uses injections, bruising may occur in rare cases, but most improve within about 2 weeks.

Additionally, as humallagen is derived from human placenta, please note that those who have received treatment cannot donate blood.
