What is Mid-Face Lift
Mid-face lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that lifts sagging mid-face along with soft tissues and fixes them to the periosteum, creating a smooth, youthful, and well-balanced impression of the lower eyelid (lower eyelid) and mid-face. By lifting the fat from the lower eyelid rim to the cheek up to the nasolabial fold, it can make cheek sagging and laugh lines less noticeable and refresh the mid-face area from under the eyes to the nose.
Since it physically removes and lifts sagging skin, muscles, and fat, long-term effects can be expected from this lift-up method. It also has the characteristic of less noticeable scars since the incision is made along the lower eyelash line. -
There are two types of Mid-Face Lift
There are two types of mid-face lift: a surgical method that lifts tissue from above the periosteum and a method that lifts from below the periosteum.
・Mid-face lift (supraperiosteal)...A surgical method that dissects from the lower eyelash line above the periosteum, lifts the cheek fat, and sutures and fixes it to the orbital periosteum. Similar to the anterior hamra method, it involves incision along the lower eyelash line.
・Mid-face lift (subperiosteal)...A surgical method that dissects the anterior cheekbone surface from below the periosteum and sutures and fixes it together with the orbital rim periosteum, orbital septum, and orbital fat. Requires wider dissection compared to supraperiosteal. Characterized by high strength and less likely to revert.
Our clinic supports both surgical methods. We will make proposals according to the patient's facial condition and wishes, so please consult during counseling.

What is the Deep Plane Facelift?
A Deep Plane Facelift directly targets the SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) and ligaments beneath the skin to lift sagging from its root cause. The SMAS layer connects the skin, fat, and muscle layers, playing a key role in facial expressions, skin firmness, and sagging. Ligaments tend to stretch and weaken with age, so by releasing these ligaments, movement is smoothed and the lifting effect is enhanced.
The procedure involves incisions from the hairline near the temples, around the front and back of the ears, and down to the hairline at the back of the neck. The skin is carefully separated to reach the SMAS layer. After wide dissection around the nasolabial folds, both the skin and SMAS are lifted to correct sagging, excess skin is removed, and the incisions are meticulously closed. -
More Natural Results than Traditional Facelifts
In contrast to conventional facelifts, the Deep Plane Facelift delivers more natural results.
Conventional facelifts often pull only the skin, which can cause a tight or unnatural look. In contrast, the Deep Plane Facelift carefully addresses deeper layers such as the SMAS and ligaments. By releasing and repositioning tissues, the facial structure is lifted fundamentally.
This method minimizes the risk of a “pulled” look and reduces damage to facial muscles and nerves, helping maintain natural expressions while restoring a youthful contour. Additionally, its strong tissue fixation provides longer-lasting anti-sagging effects.

What is a Temple Lift?
A temple lift is a plastic surgery procedure that rejuvenates the eye area by making an incision near the temples (temple region) to remove sagging skin and lift it upward. With age, the amount of collagen and elastin—components that support the skin—decreases, reducing skin elasticity and causing sagging. This also affects the eye area, leading to the drooping of the brow and outer corners of the eyes, which can create a heavy look.
By lifting these drooping parts, the temple lift corrects the lines of the eyelids and eyebrows, resulting in a refreshed, brighter eye area. It is especially effective for concerns such as sagging upper eyelids, drooping brows, and fine wrinkles around the outer corners of the eyes. It is a popular option for those seeking a naturally youthful eye appearance. -
Targeting Areas Where Scars Are Hard to Notice
In a temple lift, incisions are made inside the hair or along the hairline —areas naturally hidden by hair. This minimizes the visibility of post-operative scars. Since hairline shape, hair volume, and growth direction vary by individual, we carefully select the most inconspicuous incision location for each patient. Moreover, the incision and suturing lines are made in a zigzag shape rather than straight, further minimizing scar visibility.
The templel lift incision length is typically small—around 4–6 cm. Sutures are generally removed approximately one week after surgery. Because the incision area is discreet, the procedure is less likely to be noticed by others, making it suitable even for those with active daily lives.

What is a Neck Lift?
A neck lift procedure involves making an incision along the hairline behind the ears down to the nape of the neck, lifting sagging skin under the chin, and addressing deep vertical wrinkles. It is not only a matter of cutting and suturing the skin—muscles and fascia are also lifted and fixed, ensuring a strong and lasting lift.
Sagging and wrinkles in the neck area are difficult to conceal with self-care or makeup and often make one look older. By lifting the facial contour and targeting the neck, where aging signs easily appear, a refreshed and youthful impression can be achieved. -
Refining the Facial Contour with the “Composite Neck Lift” Technique
At BIANCA CLINIC, neck lift surgery is performed using the Composite Neck Lift technique. This method applies the deep plane facelift procedure to the neck region. With this approach, the jawline can often be improved without the need for neck liposuction or pelican surgery. The technique provides strong traction, maintaining a defined jawline even when looking downward.
Additionally, this method helps reduce both the physical and financial burden on patients.
In the past, various techniques existed for neck lift surgery. However, some caused the platysma muscle to form an unnatural tent-like shape, or resulted in insufficient lifting force. For patients with severe neck sagging, additional procedures were sometimes required. The Composite Neck Lift minimizes these disadvantages, making it an innovative option.

What is a Forehead Lift?
A forehead lift is a type of plastic surgery that involves incising the forehead and lifting sagging skin and fascia to improve sagging, wrinkles, and drooping brows.
The forehead and brow area are prone to loss of elasticity due to aging, muscle weakening, and habitual expressions, making wrinkles and sagging more noticeable. These changes strongly affect impression age, often making one look tired or older.
Other procedures to improve the forehead include hyaluronic acid injections or forehead contouring, but the distinctive feature of a forehead lift is that it lifts the entire upper face.
By correcting the structural changes of the upper face, it delivers a natural youthful look. This makes it a strong option for those who wish to brighten their facial expression or address forehead concerns that are difficult to treat with other methods. -
Customized Treatment Based on Concerns and Condition
There are several forehead lift techniques, such as incising along the hairline or within the hair. At BIANCA CLINIC, we provide the optimal surgical method tailored to each patient’s forehead, eyelid condition, and desired results, determined through counseling and examination.
For example, those concerned about their hairline may benefit from the incision-within-hair method, while those seeking more noticeable changes may opt for the hairline incision method. By leveraging the merits of each, we can design results that are both natural and harmonious.
