FAQ

Q What treatments are available for excess body hair?
A

We offer medical laser hair removal tailored to different body areas, hair thickness, and skin types. Treatments are designed to reduce excess body hair safely and effectively over multiple sessions.

Q What is the difference between medical laser hair removal and esthetic (spa) hair removal?
A

In general, medical laser hair removal can achieve results in fewer sessions. This is because the strength of the lasers used differs. Medical laser hair removal performed at a clinic uses high-powered medical lasers to destroy hair follicles, while esthetic hair removal uses lower-powered lasers for hair reduction.

Q How effective is the first hair removal session?
A

After the first session, many patients notice that about 10–20% of the treated hair falls out. At our clinic, we use a heat-destruction (thermolysis) type laser, so hair typically begins to shed about 1–2 weeks after treatment.

Q Does laser hair removal hurt?
A

During laser treatment, you may feel a sensation similar to being snapped with a rubber band. We also offer options such as topical anesthesia and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation, so please consult us if you are concerned about pain.

Q Are there any precautions after hair removal?
A

After hair removal, avoid intense exercise, sun exposure, and friction, and be sure to keep your skin moisturized. Do not use tweezers or pull out the hair; allow it to shed naturally. Shaving is permitted, but avoid shaving on the day of the treatment and proceed while monitoring your skin’s condition.
