FAQ

Q When can I apply makeup after botox injection treatment?
A

You can apply makeup the same day as your treatment.

Q Will there be swelling or redness after the botox injection?
A

After treatment, you may experience side effects such as bruising, pain, swelling, or redness at the botox injection sites. These symptoms typically resolve within a few days to a week. If symptoms persist, please consult your doctor.

Q When can I take baths or showers after botox injection treatment?
A

Both baths and showers are permitted from the day of treatment. However, since the botulinum toxin is sensitive to heat, avoid long baths, saunas, or hot stone baths. Excessive heat can cause bruising at the injection sites. Also, be careful not to massage or rub the treated areas.

Q What about exercise after botox and working out?
A

You can resume exercise from the day after treatment. On the treatment day, avoid strenuous exercise that raises your body temperature and causes sweating.

Q Can I drink alcohol on the day of my botox injection treatment?
A

Please avoid alcohol on the day of your botox injection treatment. Alcohol increases blood flow and can increase the risk of side effects such as bruising and redness.

Q Are botox injections painful?
A

While regular blood draw needles are 0.4-0.7mm in diameter, we use ultra-fine needles of 0.2-0.3mm for botox injection. You may feel a slight pinch, but unlike surgical procedures, anesthesia isn't necessary. There's no need for excessive concern about pain.

Q When will I see results after my botox injection treatment?
A

The muscle-relaxing effects don't begin immediately after treatment. While results vary depending on the botox injection sites, amount, and individual physiology, effects typically begin 2-3 days after treatment and stabilize after about 2 weeks (jaw area may take up to 1 month). First-time patients often notice effects more readily.

Q Can I achieve sufficient results with one botox injection treatment?
A

Yes, you can experience noticeable changes from a single botox injection. However, since effects aren't permanent, regular treatments are recommended for maintenance.

Q How long do botox injection treatment results last?
A

Since the body metabolizes the botox components, effects are temporary. Duration varies by individual, but typically lasts 3-4 months. The effects gradually fade until returning to your pre-treatment state. If you're planning for a specific event, we recommend getting treatment 2-4 weeks in advance.

Q How often should I get botox injections?
A

While you can schedule treatments when you notice the effects wearing off, maintain at least a 3-month interval between sessions. More frequent injections might lead to antibody development against botulinum toxin, potentially reducing effectiveness. Consult your doctor about optimal timing and frequency for your specific needs.
