FAQ

Q Is there downtime?
A

Possible side effects include redness, swelling, edema, bruising, papules, and itching, but these generally subside within a few hours to two days. Rare side effects may include allergic reactions or post-treatment swelling. Wait at least one month before undergoing other skin treatments after GOURI.

Q How long do the effects last?
A

While results vary, GOURI decomposes slowly inside the skin, allowing effects to last for several months. The skin gradually volumizes and lifts over about a month while supporting collagen production.

Q Should I receive GOURI regularly? If so, how often?
A

At BIANCA, we recommend three treatments at three-month intervals, with the option to resume after one year following consultation.

Q Is anesthesia used for GOURI?
A

Local anesthesia is required and included in the treatment fee. For patients concerned about pain, optional nitrous oxide anesthesia (¥6,050 per session) is available. Though rare, anesthesia cream (¥3,630 per area) or block anesthesia (¥19,800 per session) can also be provided.

Q What is the difference between GOURI and Juvelook?
A

Both stimulate fibroblasts to promote collagen production using materials from thread lifts. GOURI contains liquid PCL, which spreads evenly for a natural youthful effect, while Juvelook contains PDLLA particles combined with hyaluronic acid, ideal for pinpoint injections.

Q Are there treatments compatible with GOURI?
A

High-dose Vitamin C drips complement GOURI by assisting in tissue repair. Please consult if interested.

Q What is a collagen booster?
A

A collagen booster is an injectable that stimulates the dermis to support collagen production, repair soft tissue, and improve skin condition. Common ingredients include PCL (as in GOURI) and PLA (Polylactic Acid). Popular among patients seeking skin rejuvenation.

Q Can anyone receive GOURI?
A

Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or within three months postpartum cannot undergo this treatment. Additionally, those with ongoing bruising or under other treatments should avoid it for at least one month, as bruising may be prolonged.
