The patient presented with concerns about dynamic forehead wrinkles that became pronounced during facial movements, contributing to an aged or fatigued appearance. After evaluating muscle strength and wrinkle patterns, a customized injection plan was designed to reduce excessive frontalis muscle activity while maintaining natural expressiveness.
Allergan Botox was administered with a balanced and conservative approach, targeting the central and lateral portions of the frontalis to soften deep lines without causing brow heaviness.
At the two-week follow-up, the forehead shows smoother skin texture and significantly reduced wrinkling during animation, while brow mobility has been preserved to maintain a natural and refreshed look.
Botox injections to the forehead generally carry a low risk of complications. Temporary redness, swelling, pinpoint bruising, or slight discomfort at the injection sites may occur. Some patients may experience temporary eyebrow asymmetry or a mild sense of heaviness due to diffusion into adjacent muscles.
Less commonly, headaches or flu-like symptoms may appear. In rare cases, diffusion of the toxin can lead to temporary eyelid ptosis, which typically resolves on its own within several weeks.
When performed by trained specialists, forehead Botox is considered a safe, minimally invasive treatment, and most side effects, if they occur, are mild and short-lived.
