FAQ

Q Is there pain during or after a neck lift surgery?
A

The procedure is performed only after confirming that anesthesia has taken full effect, ensuring patient comfort during surgery. Postoperative pain can be managed with pain medication prescribed by our clinic. If you experience strong or persistent pain, please contact us immediately.

Q When can I shower or wear makeup after a neck lift?
A

Showers are allowed from the day of surgery, but please take care not to wet the incision site. Makeup can be applied starting from the day after suture removal.

Q How long is the downtime after a neck lift?
A

While recovery varies among individuals, swelling and bruising generally subside within 7–14 days. Puffiness or discomfort typically improves within about one month. Final results are usually noticeable around 2–3 months after surgery.

Q Will the scars from neck lift incisions be noticeable?
A

At our clinic, incisions are placed discreetly along the hairline behind the ears to the nape, making neck lift scars less visible. To achieve a natural and beautiful finish, all incisions are carefully sutured. Please consult your doctor for detailed information about scar care and aftercare.

Q Can a neck lift and facelift be performed at the same time?
A

Yes. At our clinic, a neck lift can be performed together with a facelift. However, eligibility depends on the condition of the patient’s face and neck, and our doctors will make an appropriate recommendation during consultation.

Q How long do the results of a neck lift last?
A

Results are expected to be long-lasting, though natural aging may still lead to new wrinkles or sagging over time. Nevertheless, undergoing a neck lift procedure can help slow the progression of aging and delay future sagging.

Q Is there a risk of skin tightness or pulling after neck lift surgery?
A

At our clinic, we take great care to minimize all risks, including skin tightness, during neck lift surgery. Please discuss any concerns with your doctor during consultation.

Q Is hospitalization required after a neck lift?
A

No. Patients can return home the same day once they are fully awake from anesthesia. Postoperative follow-up visits are scheduled for 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after surgery to carefully monitor your recovery.

Q Do you perform preservation facelifts with a neck lift?
A

Yes. The Composite Neck Lift is based on the advanced concept of a preservation facelift, which involves minimal skin dissection. Compared with traditional methods requiring extensive dissection, this technique results in less bleeding and swelling, reduces stress on nerves and blood vessels, and allows for faster recovery with a natural, balanced finish. By supporting deeper tissues as well as the skin, long-term lifting effects are achieved, reducing the likelihood of needing repeat procedures.
