What is Pico Spot?
Pico Spot is a treatment method that uses picosecond (one trillionth of a second) laser light—even shorter than the conventional nanosecond (one billionth of a second) laser—to destroy melanin pigment that causes spots and freckles. Pico laser treatment is suitable for relatively large spots with clear boundaries, tattoo removal, and permanent makeup removal. Since the laser can be directed precisely at the areas of concern, pico laser results can be expected with fewer treatment sessions.

The device BIANCA CLINIC uses for Pico Spot treatment is PICOSURE®, developed by Cynosure, a leading company in medical lasers. While standard medical lasers previously operated in nanoseconds (one billionth of a second), PICOSURE® delivers laser light in picoseconds (one trillionth of a second), which is 1/1000 shorter. The shorter irradiation time reduces thermal damage to the skin, minimizing strain.
The melanin pigment pulverized by laser irradiation becomes waste and is absorbed by the body. The smaller the pulverized pigment, the easier it is for the body to absorb, so how finely it can be broken down is key. Pico laser treatment can break down pigment much more finely compared to conventional laser treatments. Therefore, it offers high treatment effectiveness and is associated with a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. -
