Hi, as we discussed the growing interest in beauty among men, today I’d like to introduce five treatments recommended for men and popular at our clinic.
1. Pigmentation Removal
Laser treatments are often recommended for men for pigmentation removal, offering a precise, effective solution with minimal downtime—ideal for men who prefer efficient, low-maintenance skincare. Here’s why laser treatments are especially beneficial for men:
- Effectiveness on Deep Pigmentation: Lasers penetrate deeper to break down stubborn melanin deposits, often providing faster, more noticeable results than topical treatments alone.
- Minimal Downtime: Many men prefer treatments that don’t require prolonged recovery. Laser treatments usually involve a short healing period, allowing a quick return to daily routines.
- Large Area Coverage: Lasers can treat extensive areas, which is helpful for men with widespread pigmentation from sun exposure or other factors.
- Precision and Customization: Laser technology targets specific types of pigmentation, such as freckles, age spots, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, allowing for customized treatments based on individual concerns.
- Long-lasting Results: Lasers often deliver more enduring results than creams or chemical treatments, making them ideal for men seeking long-term effects with minimal maintenance.
These features make laser treatments an attractive option for men looking to effectively manage pigmentation with minimal disruption to their busy lives.
Pico toning is a gentle skin treatment using low-power laser energy to gradually break down and remove melanin pigment, improving dark spots, reducing skin dullness, and creating a clear, porcelain-like complexion. Compared to traditional Q-switched laser toning, pico toning achieves high efficacy with fewer treatment sessions, offering minimal downtime and enhanced skin clarity.
Pico toning utilizes advanced laser technology to break down melanin with shockwaves rather than heat, making it highly reactive to melanin pigment. This precision addresses dark spots, dullness, uneven skin tone, and freckles with superior whitening effects. Additionally, pico toning effectively treats melasma—a condition challenging for conventional lasers. The low-power, short-duration laser pulses in pico toning break down melanin without excessive stimulation, allowing safe and effective melasma treatment.
2. Hamra Method
The Hamra method addresses under-eye sagging and hollowness by repositioning orbital fat from under the eyes to fill nearby hollows, reducing dents and creating a youthful eye area.
This procedure involves making an incision along the eyelash line of the lower eyelid, repositioning and securing the orbital fat, and removing sagging skin simultaneously. When orbital fat is removed to reduce under-eye swelling, dents can become prominent. The Hamra method avoids this risk by relocating the orbital fat to the hollow area, creating a smooth, even surface under the eyes.
The difference between the Hamra method and the back Hamra method lies in the incision location: the traditional Hamra method uses an incision on the skin’s surface, while the back Hamra method accesses the lower eyelid’s internal mucosa. Your doctor will determine the most suitable approach during your consultation.
3. Hydrafacial
Hydrafacial is an advanced skin treatment that thoroughly cleanses surface and deep-seated dirt from the skin, while replenishing moisture. This process combines microdermabrasion (physical polishing), chemical peeling, and the infusion of beauty ingredients in one treatment.
Through a multi-step process of peeling, suction, and moisturizing, impurities and dead skin cells are removed, while antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid penetrate the skin. Results are immediately visible and long-lasting. Unlike traditional chemical peels, which apply chemicals directly, Hydrafacial uses water flow to simultaneously cleanse and hydrate. It is highly effective for open pores, blackheads, acne, skin texture improvement, skin radiance, and anti-aging.
4. Botox
Botox works by relaxing muscles at nerve junctions, reducing muscle contractions. This treatment effectively addresses facial wrinkles, such as forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, and can slim the face or calves for aesthetic enhancement, as well as control underarm sweating.
Results generally appear within 2-3 days after injection, stabilize within 1-2 weeks, and last about 3-4 months. For an important event, consider scheduling the treatment at least 2-4 weeks in advance. Wrinkle-relaxing injections can improve forehead and glabellar lines, but assessing the root cause, like eyelid drooping, is crucial. In cases with eyelid drooping, injections could exacerbate heaviness in the eyelids, leading to issues like headaches or neck and shoulder stiffness.
At Bianca Clinic, we use Allergan’s FDA- and MHLW-approved Botox Vista, recognized for its safety and efficacy in Japan. Botox Vista is particularly recommended for first-time patients or those seeking consistent effects.
We also offer NABOTA, a Korean botulinum toxin with 98.7% purity, produced with Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s “High Purity Technology.” NABOTA is FDA-approved in the U.S. and is also approved by Health Canada and Korea’s KFDA.
5. Subcision
Subcision is ideal for treating deep acne scars and craters that fractional lasers or microneedling cannot effectively reach. This treatment cuts fibrous scar tissue under the skin with a needle, lifting the depressed area of the crater.
Subcision is particularly suited for improving uneven skin from acne scars and craters. When inflammation from acne becomes chronic, fibrosis occurs, creating a hardened layer under the skin that leads to craters. This procedure shears the hardened tissue, smoothing the skin’s appearance.
