Excess skin on the upper lid was resting on the lashes here, and the skin around the whole eye had lost its texture with fine crepe lines.
Surgery corrects the excess skin. It does not change skin quality. So we removed the redundant upper lid skin and treated the surrounding area with Morpheus8, which delivers radiofrequency through microneedles into the dermis.
At one month the upper lid shows a clean crease and the eye opens further. The skin around the eye looks smoother and holds light more evenly.
Treating only the excess skin leaves the surrounding texture unchanged, and the contrast can be noticeable. Combining the two keeps the result consistent across the eye area.
Swelling and bruising around the eyes are strongest for one to two weeks.
Scars sit in the eyelid crease. They fade but do not disappear.
Temporary difficulty closing the eyes fully, dry eye, or a foreign body sensation may occur.
Asymmetry in crease height or shape can occur and may need revision.
After Morpheus8, redness and small crusts last several days, and swelling around the eye can be pronounced for two to three days.
Burns, blistering, or pigment change from radiofrequency are rare.
Infection and bleeding are uncommon.
