Treatment details: Pico Spot (Full Face)
Picosecond pulses shatter pigment mechanically instead of heating it, which is what keeps the surrounding skin intact and matters a great deal in Asian skin where thermal injury readily turns into further pigmentation. Settings were varied lesion by lesion across the face, since a superficial sun spot and a deeper dermal deposit need different energy to clear. At one month the crusts have long separated and the pink that follows them has faded, so what is visible here is the settled result and not an intermediate stage. Lesions that respond only partially are reassessed at this appointment and treated again if the skin has fully recovered.
Each treated point stings for an instant and goes white, then pink, with mild warmth for the rest of the day. A fine crust forms over the following days and separates within one to two weeks; picking it is the main cause of a lasting mark. Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation is the principal concern in Asian skin and is managed by strict sun avoidance before and after the session. Loss of pigment at a treated point is less common but tends to be permanent. Some lesions clear only partially and need repeat passes, and pigmentation driven by hormones or sun exposure can return without ongoing protection.
