The posterior and outer thigh were treated as one unit. Taking the outer thigh in isolation is a common way to end up with a shelf where the untreated surface meets the reduced area, so both were addressed to keep the curve continuous from hip to knee. Thighs hold denser, more fibrous fat than the abdomen, which is where the ultrasound stage earns its place: emulsifying before suction reduces drag on the cannula and the irregularity that follows. Quantum RF was applied over the same zones for skin retraction. This is the two month photograph. Thigh swelling is stubborn, and final contour usually shows around six months.

The back and outside of the thigh bruise heavily and stay swollen for several weeks, and sitting or walking is uncomfortable at first. Fluid drains from the small incisions during the first days. Numb patches, hard lumps under the skin and skin that ripples or dimples can persist for months, and the two legs may not match, so a touch up is sometimes needed. Loose skin can follow if tone is poor. Seroma and infection are uncommon; embolism and deep vein thrombosis are rare.

Heating the thigh with radiofrequency leaves the skin flushed and warm for a few hours and slightly tender the next day. Occasional swelling settles quickly. Burns and blistering are uncommon and depend on careful energy control, and pigment change afterward is possible in some skin types. The treatment supports the recovery of the surgical areas but does not replace compression or massage, works gradually across a series of sessions, and the amount of firming differs between individuals.
