Diffuse pigmentation across the whole face suited an unlimited pico spot plan, which allows every visible lesion to be addressed in a single session rather than selecting a limited number. Energy settings were adjusted lesion by lesion, since deeper dermal pigment and superficial sun spots do not respond to identical parameters. One month gives a clear reading of the outcome because the darkened crusts have shed and residual redness has calmed. Some lesions require repeat sessions, particularly deeper pigment. Strict sun protection through the healing period reduces the chance of pigment returning to the treated areas.

Treated pigment usually darkens before it clears, so small dark points and thin crusts are expected for roughly one to two weeks, and makeup is applied once the surface has sealed. Mild swelling and warmth follow the session for a few hours. Some spots lighten only partially and need further passes, while others return with sun exposure. Rebound pigmentation, blistering, and loss of pigment at the treated point are uncommon but possible.
