Two gels of very different firmness were used in one session. VOLUX is the stiffest in the range and was reserved for the chin and jaw angle, where the filler needs to behave almost like bone to sharpen the outline. VOLBELLA, far softer, went into the lips. Using a single product across all three sites would have meant either a stiff lip or a jawline that failed to hold. Treating the lower face as a whole also keeps the proportions right, since sharpening the jaw without addressing the lip can look severe. Taken immediately after injection, this image includes treatment swelling; definition reads more naturally after two weeks.

Lip swelling is heaviest on the first two days and can look uneven until it settles; a cold sore may be triggered in anyone who carries the virus. The firm gel used at the chin and jaw angle keeps a solid feel under the fingers for two or three weeks and can be tender when chewing. Bruising at the jaw is common. Asymmetry between the sides, palpable edges and slight movement of product may need review. Vessel occlusion is rare and treated at once. Results last about a year.
