Doctor's Comments

Treatment details: Hyaluronic Acid Injection (Chin, Jawline)

Chin projection and jawline definition were treated as one continuous line rather than as separate points. Filler placed at the chin without extending along the mandibular border tends to look isolated, so the injection followed the bone from the chin back toward the angle to keep the profile balanced. Product was placed deep, against the periosteum, where it provides support rather than surface volume. The image is immediately after the session. Firmness at the injection points is normal for the first few days, and the contour reads more naturally once that settles. The lower face is a lower risk region for filler but injection remains slow and deliberate.

Risks & Side Effects

Filler placed along the chin and jaw is felt as a firm ridge for the first weeks, and it can be seen where the skin is thin. Swelling and bruising are limited, but the area moves during chewing, so slight migration or an uneven edge sometimes develops and needs smoothing. Tenderness at the injection points lasts a few days. Nodules, infection, and vascular events are rare. Volume declines over about a year, and further treatment is required to maintain it.
