This is a plan carried out in stages, and the two year interval is what makes it readable. Removing buccal fat lightens the lower cheek but can leave the face looking flat if nothing is returned above it, so fat was grafted into the forehead, temples and the hollow below the eye as part of the same plan. Autologous fat that survives the first months stays permanently, which is why the graft still reads at two years, whereas hyaluronic acid at the nose, jawline and lips is broken down over about a year and has to be repeated to hold. Buccal fat removal is done through an incision inside the mouth, so eating and speaking are uncomfortable for several days, and taking too much can look hollow later. The eyelid procedures swell for one to two weeks, the crease may loosen and need repeating, and the two sides can differ. Fat grafting swells for two to three weeks, part of the graft is absorbed over the first months, and lumps or irregularity at the recipient site sometimes need correction. Hyaluronic acid brings bruising, firmness, and a rare risk of a blocked vessel that shows as pain with pale skin. Injections into the skin cause redness and small marks that pass within days. Bleeding, infection, nerve injury, and scarring apply to every surgical stage.
