Forehead lines and a dimpled chin come from two different muscle groups, so the dosing was split rather than applied evenly across both. The frontalis was treated conservatively to keep brow position natural, while the mentalis received a smaller focused dose to settle the orange peel texture on the chin. Allergan product was used at both sites. The photograph is one month after injection, which is when the effect has fully settled and the resting surface of the skin can be judged. Movement returns gradually from around the third month, and we ask patients to come back before the lines return rather than waiting for muscle action to recover completely.

Pinpoint pain, small bumps, redness, and bruising at the entry points settle within two or three days. Forehead treatment can leave the brows feeling heavy or sitting lower, and rarely a drooping upper lid, until the effect fades. Relaxation of the chin muscle may briefly alter the way the lower lip moves during speech. Headache or a tight sensation may appear in the first week. The action wears off over three to six months. Allergic reaction is rare.
