Correction here was limited to the medial portion of the under eye, where the hollow was deepest, rather than being spread across the whole lower lid. Treating only what needs treating avoids the puffiness that follows filling the lateral area unnecessarily. Baby Collagen was delivered through a cannula in a single pass. This image is directly after the procedure. Fluid from the injection is still present and gives a slightly fuller appearance than the eventual result. Patients are asked not to rub the area for several days, since pressure during the settling period can displace material in tissue this thin.

The lower lid is injected at multiple shallow points, and bruises there are slow to clear, often a week or more. Expect puffiness for the first two or three days and a slightly bumpy feel that settles as the collagen integrates. If material is left too superficial it can look pale or give a faint Tyndall type shadow, and adjustment is limited because hyaluronidase does not act on collagen. Effects last around three to six months. Infection at the points is rare.
