  • What is Trifilpro?

Trifilpro is a micro-subcision injector that delivers carbon dioxide gas and medication directly into the skin. Developed by Korean medical device company MCURE, it is approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS).

Subcision is a treatment that targets crater-like skin indentations caused by acne scars. When chronic inflammation from acne persists, it causes fibrosis under the skin, forming firm scar tissue that pulls the skin inward, resulting in depressions.

Trifilpro cuts this fibrotic tissue horizontally using carbon dioxide gas, physically separating the root cause of the depression. Then, using a drug delivery system, medication is injected directly into the treated area, promoting skin regeneration.

By combining mechanical subcision with precise drug injection, Trifilpro can address a wide array of skin concerns such as acne scars and enlarged pores.

  • Safer Than Traditional Subcision

Trifilpro uses a different approach from conventional subcision treatments and is designed to reduce treatment burden and downtime. Traditional subcision involves manually cutting fibrotic tissue under the skin with a needle and injecting fillers like hyaluronic acid or fat to lift the scarred area. While effective for deep scars, this approach often involves bleeding, long recovery time, and pigmentation concerns.

In contrast, Trifilpro gently cuts through fibrotic tissue with carbon dioxide gas, minimizing downtime. Coupled with drug delivery, it reduces inflammation and risk of side effects while supporting tissue regeneration.

There are four main types of acne scar craters:
    ●Rolling: wide, shallow depressions
    ●Boxcar: flat-bottomed, sharply edged indentations
●Ice pick: narrow, deep, needle-like scars
●Fat atrophy: widespread depressions caused by inflammation affecting subcutaneous fat

Among these types, rolling scars respond best to subcision, while ice pick scars tend to be more resistant to treatment. Trifilpro is gaining attention as a new option for treating rolling-type scars with less burden and high effectiveness.

  • Skin Rejuvenation Shots Also Available

Beyond acne and scar treatment, Trifilpro also supports rejuvenation treatments that enhance firmness and elasticity.

The Rejuvenation Shot uses suction to inject medication precisely into targeted areas, minimizing leakage and ensuring uniform delivery. Its advanced injection system supports more effective skin regeneration. Treatments are performed by experienced nurses at BIANCA CLINIC and tailored to each patient's condition.

You may choose from the following 6 medication options:
    ●Hydro
    ●Sunekos
    ●Pluryal Densify
    ●Profhilo
    ●Rejuran
    ●Juvelook

Direct delivery into the skin helps activate regenerative power from within. Ideal for those beginning anti-aging care or concerned about tired-looking skin.

FAQ

Q What types of acne scars does Trifilpro work best on?
A

Trifilpro is known to be effective for acne scars that have formed crater-like depressions in the skin. It targets the underlying fibrotic tissue responsible for these indentations and aims to improve the skin condition from the root.

Q How many sessions of Trifilpro are recommended?
A

The number of Trifilpro sessions depends on your skin condition, but typically 3 to 5 treatments are recommended. Sessions are usually spaced about one month apart. Continued treatments tend to yield better results.

Q Is the Trifilpro treatment painful?
A

Since a fine needle is used, the pain is reduced compared to conventional treatments. However, individual sensitivity may vary. For those concerned about pain, we offer numbing cream, laughing gas, or nerve block anesthesia upon request.

Q What is the downtime after Trifilpro?
A

Mild swelling or redness may occur immediately after the procedure, but generally subsides within 2 to 5 days. Compared to traditional subcision treatments, Trifilpro is known for its shorter downtime.

Q How does Trifilpro differ from traditional subcision?
A

Traditional subcision involves mechanically severing deep fibrotic tissue under the skin using a needle, which is effective for deep crater-like scars. However, it often causes bruising, swelling, and longer downtime—sometimes lasting 1 to 2 weeks.

In contrast, Trifilpro targets shallower layers of the skin and can treat more superficial irregularities with greater precision. Using carbon dioxide and medication in a micro-subcision technique, it minimizes bleeding and swelling, leading to reduced downtime. This makes it a more approachable and convenient option for many patients.

Q When can I start to see results from Trifilpro?
A

While individual results may vary, noticeable improvement is often seen after the third session, assuming monthly treatments. Some patients report increased firmness and smoother texture even after just one session, but significant improvement in depressions and skin regeneration typically requires multiple sessions. Regular treatments enhance long-term, natural-looking results.

Q Are there any other treatment options for depressed acne scars besides Trifilpro?
A

Yes. Alternatives to Trifilpro include Dermapen 4, Potenza, and skin booster injections. The most suitable approach depends on the depth and spread of the scars, your skin type, and your desired outcome. Please consult with us to determine the best option for you.

Q Is there anything I should be careful about before or after the Trifilpro treatment?
A

Yes. In terms of skincare, it’s important to avoid using strong or irritating ingredients. For example, if you use retinol, please stop using it one week before and after the treatment. Likewise, if you're using benzoyl peroxide (BPO), refrain from using it for three days before and after your session.

Q Can Trifilpro be combined with other treatments?
A

Yes, it can. In many cases, combining Trifilpro with other procedures can produce even better results. Based on your concerns and skin condition, we will recommend the most appropriate treatment plan during your consultation.
